Our Fave Mother’s Day Emails 2023

Mother's Day is synonymous with expressing gratitude to the important women in our lives, whether they are mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or mother figures. This occasion also presents a valuable opportunity for marketers to boost their revenue by assisting customers in discovering the ideal gift through recommendations, discounts, gift guides, vouchers, and more.

Below are a few great Mother’s Day email examples from May 2023 that may spark some inspiration to some of your own designs for mom too.

Crockpot

Subject Line: This Is for the Moms

We love how each of the products used to promote for a Mother’s Day email also tells a story to how she can enjoy using them. The design flows so well with a stacked look and using alternate placed images to make the layout enticing.

The social proof placed below the fold was key placement for this email design. I like how the messaging hierarchy puts Mother’s Day messaging, product pushes for mom THEN includes ways to join the community.

Ugg Express

Subject Line: Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

UGG Express Mother's Day Email 2023

We love that the email design led with a Mother’s Day message and showed an image of a mother daughter duo front and center. What a simple way to let your audience know about the monthly giveaway as well as celebrating mom.

Peach & Lily

Subject Line: Happy Mother's Day!

The hero image and sweet Mother’s Day copy really completes the theme of the email. The colors and imagery is on-brand for their company and works well with the spring theme. The final chance push works perfect below the Hero - it’s not too below-the-fold for us to miss the urgency and highlights the products included in the sale which is always a plus!

Lola & The Boys

Subject Line: Happy Mother's Day 💕

Lola & The Boys Mother's Day Email 2023

We love how this email design established brand identity, CEO spotlight, and tailored message to a holiday that’s relevant to their business. Lola and the Boys is an online children’s clothing boutique with really cute and trendy designs rarely seen in stores or online.

It’s possible that their main demographic (and email database) just happen to be cool moms. So, it’s only fitting that they crafted a message to moms - from moms. We especially love the design highlighting some CEO headshots and lifestyle photos with their families to really humanize the message.

This also goes to show that you don’t really need to have a Mother’s Day promotion at all. Sometimes the most simplest of messages and designs work the best with engagement and conversions.

Lume Deodorant

Subject Line: Happy Mother’s Day! 🤗

Lume Deodorant Mother's Day Email 2023

This is another great example of sharing a short and sweet holiday message - without highlighting a promotion! Lume’s Mother’s Day email showcases beautiful spring colors, two-sentences for the hero copy, and has just one CTA - shop their exclusive deals.

Notice how the details of the deals were left out as well as how much % or $ saved. This strategy could be to increase Click-Through Rates and or Click to Opens as you leave that promotion information vague.

Mother’s Day Emails 2023

This year’s Mother’s Day email designs included lots of springlike flowers, colors, short and sweet messages to mom and offered a promotion or just sent their regards for the holiday. We noticed that Happy Mother’s Day was the top used subject line for that day and also noticed inclusions of emojis like hearts or flowers.

Be sure to take some of these elements into your next year’s designs and always test, test, test! See what works best for your company and either pivot or optimize from there.
